Four days left of shopping madness!
April 27, 2007
We have hit the middle of the bag sale extravaganza.. FOUR DAYS GONE AND FOUR TO GO!.
Bags have been stuffed, and people have been going crazy snatching up all kinds of treasures at Discollection. So far the sale has been awsome, and there is more good news.
There are still more clothes to come out of the back room, and this weekend we are reducing the price of the large bag to only $40!!!
OH MY!
Its been amazing really, we are finding all kinds of cool things in the back that we didn’t even know we had. So if you haven’t had a chance to come down yet and fill a bag, don’t fret… you haven’t missed out.
All winter, and leather coats are being sold separately for only $15 because they don’t squish up into the bags very well. And we still have retail supplies for sale, here is a little list.
* spot lights and light bulbs
* mannequins/bust forms with stainless steel bases
* dark wooden hangers for $0.50/hanger.. including suit and pant hangers.
* clothing racks
* wall display units
* jewelry display units
* receipt books
* tagging guns with barbs
* furniture
* one antique table saw table that is perfect for displaying jewelry, or to be used in a home as a kitchen island… this table is magnificent
* large piece of glass
* mirrors
* cordless phone
* and so many other odds and ends of things
Thus far we have been having fun fun fun.. i hope you get a chance to come and partake in this crazy sale and fill you closet with wonderful treasures.
This weekend will also be your last chance to come and say farewell to the little shop on Hastings that has been a meeting place for friends, a place for making new friends, the house of art shows, fashion shows and parties and a club house for all the cool cats in gastown… it will be missed.

Due to a number of problems in the building that Discollection is housed in, Discollection is forced to close its doors.
April 30th, 2007, sadly, will be the last shopping day at our beloved little shop. Discollection will remain an online shopping place for a few of our best selling items such as fairy hats, kdon clothing and accessories, as well as a handful of select jewelry designers. This is a sad time for me, but also it is a chance to pursue other endeavors which include more kdon designs.. and yes, joining the work force.
What does this news mean for you my treasured customers and friends? Simply put.. you will be able to take part in the biggest sale ever in the history of any vintage store (not proven, but it sounds fantastic
).. and its possibly true.
MONADY APRIL23RD at 12pm we will be starting a week long ” fill a bag” sale, so for all of you that missed out the last time around this will be your chance to fill your bags, fill your boots, and fill your closets…. and the best news is, the bags are bigger and cheaper because everything really must go… and I want all of you to have it. I will be bringing out new items everyday of the sale and clearing out my back room which is stacked with vintage beauties.. 50″s bathing suits, dresses, shoes, boots, sandals, summer tops, shorts and on it goes…
For those who have stores of your own this will be an excellent opportunity to buy all fixtures, display racks, hangers, tagging guns and many many many other retail supplies.
Also for sale will be mounds of vintage fabric, an industrial sewing machine, and other items needed in a sewing studio.
WOW!
With the end of Discollection in sight, I want to send a big thank you out to all those who have been supportive; by becoming customers and friends, my employees who work so hard, all the webbie friends who I have met through Kris Krug who have blogged and linked to me, all the visitors that poke their heads in on lunch breaks to say hi, and of course all the people who come to say hi to chello.
This has been the most amazing, wonderful opportunity of a lifetime and I am eternally grateful.
Here are some favorite Discollection memories.
kdon dress for sale at suicidegirls.com!
April 4, 2007

Recently I was asked to design a limited addition dress for the suicide girls to sell through their on-line shop. After a little back and forth communication between “Designer Suicide” and I, we agreed upon the dress. 30 dresses were made at Discollection, and shipped off to the girls, and now WHALH! they are for sale. I make a bunch of clothes that are equally as cute and they are for sale at Discollection, so if you like these, you should come check out my store….
